You’re going to have to stop buying things while you do this but if you have high balances on your credit cards you should not be buying things on credit anyway. Ouch Jimmy, that hurts. Jimmy knows it hurts. Most of the time when behavior changes there is a little bit of pain involved (sometimes a lot of pain) but you are going to be a lot better off as time goes by.
Number 5. Stop moving credit card debt around from one card to the other. This behavior will ultimately result in bankruptcy, it always does.
Number 6. Do not allow merchants to check your credit score. Every time a merchant checks your credit score it goes down a little bit because people think you’re having a hard time not buying things. It shows instability.
