Raise my credit score is something you can do. Read this and quickly learn how.
Have you ever tried to buy something on credit only to find out that you have a low credit score? If so there are ways to improve your score.
Number 1. Get a copy of your credit report from all three credit bureaus: Equifax, Transunion, and Experian. It is important to get the score from all three and then take the average and that is your score.
Number 2. Look for errors, omissions and for items that do not belong to you. If someone has stolen your identity and bought things using your credit and then not made the payments this could be your problem. Have the errors removed from your report and you have a right to do this when a credit bureau confirms that it isn’t yours or if they can’t prove that it is. This step alone could raise your credit score by a significant amount and quickly.
Number 3. Catch up on your payments. The credit bureaus will show you, which payments are late and as you get them caught up to date your credit score will change in a hurry. Getting your bills caught up is the best thing you can do because it is 35% of your score.
Number 4. If any of your loans are in collection make an agreement with the collection company that if you start making payments they will take it off of your credit report and then check a month later to make sure they have done that.
Number 5. Getting your credit limit raised will have a positive effect on your credit score.
Number 6. Do not open any new credit cards, as this will lower your score.
Number 7. If you have had a bankruptcy and are trying to reestablish your credit, get a credit card with a small limit and if you cannot qualify for an unsecured card get a secured card, one that you pay ahead of time and this will begin to reflect on your credit report.
Jimmy says, it doesn’t take long to reestablish your credit but you have to have discipline and not get yourself into trouble a second time.
Whoa Jimmy?
