Telemarketing from home jobs is working as a call center agent. You heard a lot about companies routing customer service calls to agents overseas but a growing trend is in the home call center workers. To get hired, find a list of call centers who, are hiring and apply for a work at home job as an agent. They will ask you to fill out an application online and then will conduct one or more phone interviews mostly to determine if you have good phone skills.

 Because of the Internet and better technology, companies are finding that they can outsource their order taking or problem-solving and even sales calls to home-based workers. In this job you would actually be an employee and would be paid according to the number of minutes that you spend on the phone with the company’s clients.

Avoiding work at home scams 

Some of these work-at-home scams are very simple, while others are very complicated and involved. Scams are marketed by people who understand that they will usually fool some of the people some of the time. If they can just fool a few of the people, some of the time, they can make a lot of money. I don’t want you to be one of the people who gets fooled and cheated out of your money.

 Many people, who are offering work at home opportunities, are in reality, just selling their how to e-books. They promise that you can do this job if you just know how and they will teach you if you just buy the book.. This very common practice is deception and almost all of the time, after paying good money for their book you will wind up with nothing but a bad experience.

Finding work from home jobs

There are some very good work-at-home jobs available, if you know how to find them. A friend of mine who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma has been working as a bookkeeper for a company that is based in Iowa for about the last 15 years. She does everything online and has had a wonderful relationship with the company. For many companies, it is in their best interest to hire workers who will stay at home and work on their computer. A lot of design engineers can work at home as well as website designers and many other people who would normally spend their day working on the computer while sitting in their office. Some of these companies will require that their people at least spend some time in the office, maybe one or two days a week. I know a lady, a very nice lady as a matter of fact (I have to say that because she will probably be reading this) who works as a buyer for a large corporation. She goes into her office two days a week and works at home three days a week and enjoys her job.

 The big question is how to find these jobs. Well for starters it depends on what your profession is. If you are a nurse, or a police officer, or a dogcatcher this is not going to work out for you. But, you happen to be an accountant, or a lawyer, or a salesman, or an employment recruiter (which I was for several years), just as a few examples of many, you can work out of your home and in some cases spend most of your time in your home office. My main job is as a pastor and I keep my office in my home because it is more convenient for me as I like to work and exercise early in the morning, rest in the afternoon and working in the evening.
