Do you like dogs, I mean really like dogs? Well,  if you want to make some good money and if you love dogs and enjoy walking with them? I am talking about making $200-$300 or more per day while you are walking dogs and that is nothing to bark about. Sorry, I just could not help myself, but do I have your attention?  If so, read on.

Many people who have dogs must keep their dogs pined up in a house all day long while they are at work and would love to have a dog walking service available to them and would be more than willing to pay someone to come to their house, and take their dog for a walk. Sometimes, older people who love the companionship of their dogs are unable to go outside and walk with them but they still want to keep their pets. This could be a great part-time business for you and as you get into it you will find that it really does pay very will and the hours are short.

 A dog walking business is very easy to set up. Use your computer and make up brochures and business cards and pass them around the neighborhood. Put a sign on your car that says dog walking, low rates and your cell phone number. He will also get references, as dog people know other dog people. The veterinarians in the area may be able to give you names of people who are in need of your service and will also give you a good reference.

 Call other dog walking services in your area and ask them how much they charge. Also, some of them may have more business than they can handle and would be willing to share customers with you. You might want to check with the local pet friendly hotels as people may be on vacation and would like to leave their dog in the room for a while but need to have them walked. Leave your card or a brochure in the lobby the people at the desk would be happy to recommend you.

 The downside is once you start a dog walking  business, you have to do it every day and be on time or find somebody who will do it for you, as people will become very dependent upon your service so it might be a good idea to have a backup. However, it is never a good idea to take on a partner in your business because most of the time you will do most of the work and get half of the money.
