Right now in this day and age that we are living in buying auto insurance has never been easier and there is basically three different ways to do it.
Number one. Call an agent.
I guess this is the old-fashioned way. This is the way that I used to do it when I first got my drivers license and bought my car. My mother and I drove uptown to visit the local insurance agent and make arrangements for me to have insurance for my new used car.
Car insurance agents are listed in the phone book and most people will look and pick out one close to their neighborhood.
The advantage to using agents is that you establish a relationship with a human being, somebody you can talk to and somebody you can call if you have an accident and somebody who knows your needs.
Number two. Go online and you will find a variety of websites, which offer to provide you with a quote for your car insurance. Just fill out the information and sometimes in a matter of minutes you will have a quote.
Once you have your quote from the insurance company’s website you can either buy from them right then and there or you can print out the quote in take it to your local insurance agent and ask him or her if they can match the price.
Number three. Buy direct.
This you can do one of two ways. You can either call a phone number on your television screen which is so easy a caveman can do it, give them the information over the phone plus your credit card number and presto you have car insurance.
Or, you get on the website of a direct insurance company give them the information, get your price, fill in your credit card number and sure enough you got car insurance.
Jimmy says whichever method you use get quotes from at least three different companies before you make a decision.
