The wonderful thing about the invention of the Internet is that people in business now have a way to advertise very inexpensively and there are even ways you can effectively post free ads to bring people to your product.

If you go about this the right way you can get most of your ads posted quickly, very effectively and for free.

1. For starters, keep in mind that you should try to post as many as you can and as often as you can, even to the point of placing hundreds of free classified ads. Your objective is to have as many people as possible know that you have a product or a service to offer.

My advice would be to try the free and first and see how that goes before you start spending money. You will be amazed though, that if you have just a small advertising budget, how far it will actually go.

3. Next, you need make sure that you pick the right category for your type of business or people will never find you. One thing I do on my site is offer CDs of my messages and sermons and CD series of my financial increase conferences and if I were to advertise that product in the plumbing category I would get no responses all. However, if I were to advertise that product, which I will, in the religious and spirituality category the right people would see the ad.

4. If you’re not getting any response from your ads what you can always do is try a different category.

5. The next thing to take into consideration is the area where you want your ads to be seen. If you are advertising a housecleaning business in Melbourne, Florida, which is where I live, you would not be interested in having your ads viewed by people in San Francisco. However, if you are advertising a product on your website such as musical equipment and you are going to drop ship this equipment to your customers you would want people in every location of the country to see your ads.

6. Make sure your ad is well written and one of the best thing I can tell you about writing as he is look at the other ends in the category where you are going to advertise and see how they are structuring their ads. Always emphasize the benefits and the low price to keep their attention.

7. I am going to share with you my secret of attracting attention to written ads.

If you use the phrases low price, low rates, free, your ad will be selected over 100 other well-written ads. Years ago Mary and I were in the housecleaning business and I always put low rates in my newspaper ads and we never had any trouble filling our appointment book.

Make sure your ads are written on a level that anyone can read it and understand it. People are not impressed with your extensive vocabulary when they read your ads. What they are concerned about is, do I need this product, what will it do for me, and how cheap can I get it.

Make your ads so people can skim read it. The more words you have in your hand the less chance you have of keeping your reader all the way to the end.  Keep your ads short and to the point.

8. Blogging is a great way of advertising your product for free.

More and more people who are selling products such as photography equipment or sound equipment or a service such as how to set up a blog are actually setting up blogs to promote their products and service.

What you will need to do if you choose to use this method which can be very successful is register a domain name and ideally use the name of your product or service in your domain name. Example, my blog is about Christian financial increase and the name of my blog is Increase Now and my domain URL is www.increasenow.com.

You can use WordPress platform to set up your blog if you know how to do this which I did not, or you can have someone set up for you inexpensively.

You can write articles on your blog talking about your product and service, optimized with the proper keywords and in a matter of a few months you’ll be attracting traffic to your site. Your traffic will grow over a short period of time as you write more articles and develop a following of people who are interested in your area of expertise and who will purchase your product or service.
