There are many people today whose credit scores have deteriorated to the point where they have become bad risks for credit card companies to consider. There may be many reasons for this and at the top of the list is home foreclosure and credit cards with large balances that are overdue mainly because of employment downsizing and layoffs.
There are companies out there right now that specialize in getting people with bad credit a consolidation loan. The reason they will do this is because even people who have been laid off and downsized will usually have some form of income and would like to get their bills caught up and will do so if given the opportunity.
These companies realize that many of these people who have a good history of paying their bills will make credit card payments if only they can get into a consolidation program where their payments are more manageable.
Some of the problems with this program are you may have to deal with a high interest rate until your credit is reestablished. However if you go online and look at the numerous credit card companies, which are offering debt consolidation programs, the chances, are very good that you will find one with an interest rate that you can manage.
Once you get into a debt consolidation payment program make sure that you make your payments on time and if you can do this for even six months, 0% credit cards will be available for you to transfer your balances to and then you can make payments, which will be applied only to the balance.
Jimmy says even with bad credit you can still get a credit card and consolidate your payments. Just make sure that you do make these payments to get your credit reestablished, and get all your credit cards paid off.
