How to Increase Your Faith
What is faith based upon? Faith must be based upon the Word of God.
Hebrews 11:6 Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
God is not pleased unless faith is involved. If you have faith, or are attempting to increase your faith, you can be assured that God is pleased with you.
Matthew 9:29 Jesus touched their eyes, saying, “according to your faith be it unto you”.
By this verse alone, we know that we are going to receive from God according to our faith.
My objective with this is to teach you in simple basic steps how to quickly increase your faith and if you will follow these steps you will notice not only an increase in your pay but increasing your health and your finances.
ROMANS 12:3 according as GOD HATH DEALT TO EVERY MAN the measure of faith. By this verse we know that faith comes from God. It is the “gift of God.” He has given to every believer the measure, or the same measure, of faith. The word measure translated from the Greek means limited portion.
God has given everyone a limited portion of faith so we have something to start with. Now, our faith will grow according to what we do with it, how we feed it, exercise it, and release it.
The first thing we need to do is understand what faith is. Hebrews 11:1 “Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
To fully understand faith in Hebrews 11:1 we need to look in the Greek because there are some mistranslations in this verse.
The word substance actually means confident.
The word evidence actually means proof.
The word hoped means expect or for expectation.
The verse should actually read, now faith is the confident expectation, the proof of things not seen.
Faith means expecting. If you are expecting something you are in faith.
If you are expecting something good, you would be excited and so excitement is the Faith Gage. I tell people this, the more excited you are the stronger your faith is.
The next thing we need to learn is what faith can do.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, “if you can believe, all things are possible to them that believe”.
What Jesus was saying in this verse is absolutely nothing it is impossible if you have Faith.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Faith actually comes by hearing God’s Word. There is no other way to get faith.
God has already given you all of the faith that he is going to give you and that is a limited portion.
Now here’s a secret that it took me 20 years to learn and that is that faith for salvation will save you but will not heal your body and faith for healing will heal you but will not pay your bills.
Here is a brutal but honest statement.
You are where you are at in every area of your life because of where your faith is at in that area.
In other words if you have faith for healing you will walk in divine health and if you have faith for finances you will have plenty of money but if you don’t, you won’t.
A person can have faith for finances without having faith for salvation and they will be lost and prospers. There are many people who fit into this category.
My objective is that you will have faith in every area of your life.
If a person is lost our objective is to increase their faith in Jesus as their savior so that they can be saved.
If a person is sick our objective is to increase their faith for healing so that they can be healed.
If a person is broke our objective is to increase their faith for finances.
Are you beginning to get a picture of how this works?
The minute you realize and admit that you need to increase your faith in any of these areas, you are on your way up and your life is going to improve because you have the ability to increase your faith. Please do not let pride get in your way.
Three years ago I came to the realization that my finances were not increasing because I didn’t have the faith and I began listening to God’s word on financial increase and now we are giving away cash money.
This works every time. I guarantee it.
- Listen to God’s Word in whatever area that you have need. If you need financial increase there are over 100 hours of preaching on financial increase in this site, or you can find other good prosperity preachers.
- Speak God’s Word out loud concerning whatever it is that you need until faith comes. Here is how this works. As you speak God’s Word out of your mouth it will go into your ear and so you are hearing it. There is something about hearing God’s word coming out of your own mouth that will quickly increase your faith.
Romans 10:9-10 tells us that we must believe in our heart and speak with our mouth to receive from God.
Speaking words of faith releases your faith and causes dead faith to come alive. James 2:20
- To quickly increase your faith, speak God’s Word over and over and over and over again until faith comes.
Examples:
1 Peter 2:24 By the stripes of Jesus I am healed. A few years ago I had a kidney stone and I said this over and over from seven o’clock in the morning until two o’clock in the afternoon and God spoke to me and said I’m going to heal you and He did.
Philippians 4:19 My God provides all of my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. This verse will pay your bills.
Galatians 3:14 I am blessed with the blessing of Abraham.
Listening and speaking.
Keep doing this, listening to God’s Word in whatever area that you have any need and speaking God’s Word until you get what you want or need.
