Thanksgiving day

A headline in the newspaper today states that Pres. Obama faces a tough sales pitch to a skeptical public. That’s an understatement if I ever heard one. One year after the last election Americans are having a bad case of buyer’s remorse. That hope and change turned out to be out and out socialism and the American people are just not ready for it. We elected a community organizer with absolutely no leadership experience, a person who had never made substantive decisions and wound up with a president who is indecisive and seems to be totally lost in the job.

It is taking him over four months to make a simple yes or no decision in Afghanistan. He is having a job’s summit at the White House next month because he can’t make decision on the economy and has no idea what to do about unemployment in this country. He has apologized for America’s actions wherever he has gone and has bowed to leaders of countries, who do not even like us. Next month, he is heading to Copenhagen with a pledge to fight global warming which has been proven to be a hoax.

Three of our Navy SEALs are charged with assaulting a detainee whom they captured in Iraq in early September. The detainee, poor fellow, had a bloody lip. It is a wonder to me that we can find anyone willing to serve in our military with the political correctness that is going on.

America needs a strong president and people in Congress who will stand up for the rights of the American people. What we have is a community organizer in the White House whose Bible is  “Rules For Radicals” and a Congress full of left wing liberals who will go back to their districts this summer and try to convince their constituents that they really are conservatives. That is going to be hard to do when unemployment and under employment is  17.5%. The left-wing liberals are facing a tough reelection battle next fall because the American people have had enough of this experiment in socialism. I will guarantee you that this summer and next fall you will not hear many politicians talking about hope and change.
